ABCduo is a classical music duo consisting of Bruce Cain on voice and David Asbury on guitar. With performances in venues around the world, ABCduo is committed to fostering the connections between music and environmental activism. They have commissioned and premiered over 30 works that explore this topic, making them a unique and innovative addition to the classical music world.
Bruce Cain
Bruce Cain is a classically trained vocalist who has performed on five continents. He has a passion for music and environmental activism, which he combines in his work with ABCduo. Bruce and David bring their sensitivity and artistry to audiences everywhere.


David Asbury
David Asbury is an accomplished guitarist who has been performing for over 25 years with Bruce. He shares Bruce's passion for music and environmental activism, and together they have created a unique sound that blends classical music with a love of the natural world. David has been featured in numerous performances and recordings.

Although the ABCduo has performed many works from the standard repertoire, they have also had the pleasure of working with and commissioning many living composers who have written works that are environmentally themed.
The duo has been fortunate to collaborate with composers such as: James Scott Balentine, Tom Cipullo, Matthew Dunne, Susan Cohn-Lackman, Daniel Crozier, Jason Hoogerhyde, Ashley Lucero, Diego Luzuriaga, Eduardo Martín, John McGinn, Brian Nelson, Julio César Oliva, Brad Osborne, Diego Vega and Terry Vosbein.
